My Philosophy

Math is about problem solving.  But the immediate problem we are trying to solve is that your child is overwhelmed by math.  I quickly try to isolate and then focus on where your child is struggling.   

I coach students to always look for the 'heart' of the problem.  I help them write out 'cheat sheets' or reference sheets so they can clearly see the subject's fundamentals.

In addition, math requires a lot of practice.  I stress specific study habits that will improve performance at school,  such as being completely familiar with each homework problem before taking a test. 

I will help your child realize how smart they really are, and equip them with the competence and confidence to tackle even the most difficult problems.
